VERVE® Suites Mont'Kiara that introduces four unique sky lounges and innovative lifestyle to its residents, has received the "Project of the Year 2013" accolade at the Malaysia Landscape Architecture Awards (MLAA).
Bukit Kiara Properties (BKP), the developer for VERVE® Suites Mont'Kiara, has also won the "Excellence Award", the highest accolade in the Property Developer Category, on the same night.
The above recognitions were received from The Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM), a professional body for landscape architects in Malaysia, after a series of thorough selections and site visits during the judging process.
VERVE® Suites Mont'Kiara is a project that features four towers with individually themed sky lounge on top of each tower. Residents of the project can enjoy the innovative lifestyle offered at all the four sky lounges.
"Each sky lounge features different living concept, which complements each other. Residents can have access to the chill out lounge, sky theatrette and viewing deck at Block A, private party and function areas at Block B, sky jungle at Block C, and the first-of-its-kind Sky Beach at Block D. All these facilities are available under one roof, within their home compound in VERVE® Suites Mont’Kiara," said BKP's Group Managing Director Datuk NK Tong.
"When we design the landscape and facilities for our project, customers’ needs and expectations are always our priorities. We are passionate in introducing innovative living concepts which our customers would love to stay and to engage with their communities. Delivering happiness and satisfaction to our homeowners is our main objective and being recognised with awards is an additional bonus for us," NK added.
In addition to ensuring the innovative and functionality of landscaping, BKP also emphasised on the sustainability aspect of the project since the planning stage. "We always look at the long term maintenance aspect of landscaping and add value at a manageable cost. Landscaping mustn't just look good today. It must look even better tomorrow and in the years to come," NK said.
The "Project of the Year" for VERVE® Suites Mont'Kiara, and "Excellence Award" for BKP were received by Nicole Van Den Steenhoven, BKP’s Senior Manager for Landscape, at the Malaysia Landscape Architecture Awards held at Kuching on 29 April. Nicole, from Netherlands, has been a passionate plants and landscape lover since childhood. She and her team were the designer and implementer for the innovative landscape at VERVE® Suites Mont'Kiara.
"During the designing stage, we must address the needs of people who will be staying in the project. We always try to find out what they want and then create possibilities. Design must be malleable, and our satisfaction is seeing residents enjoying the space that we have created,” Nicole said.
VERVE® Suites Mont'Kiara offers fully-furnished service suites with over 100,000 sq.ft. of facilities at sky lounges and pool podium level. The project is fully sold with the last tower handed over to homeowners in December 2013. BKP is now extending the VERVE® living concept with its new project called "VERVE® Suites KL South", which will be officially previewed soon.
The MLAA Awards was held since 2007. Last year, ILAM received more than 80 entries for six categories of awards. The Institute commented that most participants met expected standards, and the landscaping standard has also improved tremendously compared to the previous years.
