VERVE® Suites Mont'Kiara Wins World’s Best High Rise Award

BKP Brings Home First FIABCI International High Rise Gold Award for Malaysia.

VERVE® Suites Mont'Kiara, an innovative project by Bukit Kiara Properties (BKP), has emerged as the prestigious World Gold Winner of the FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards 2015 in the Residential (High Rise) category. Last November, the project also clinched the same title locally at the FIABCI Malaysia Property Awards 2014.

The project which pioneered the first sky lounge concept in 2006 is the first ever development to bring home Gold for Malaysia in the high rise residential category since the introduction of the Award 24 years ago.

Dubbed ‘Oscar of Real Estate’, this year’s FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards were reviewed by 68 judges from 28 countries around the world. Nominations for these prestigious awards were assessed based on architecture & design, financial & marketing strategy, development & construction, environmental impact, and community benefits.

The Gold Winner award was presented by HRH Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawirto Datuk NK Tong, BKP’s Group Managing Director at the 24th FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards Dinner, in conjunction with its World Real Estate Congress held in Kuala Lumpur on 30 May 2015.

“In 2006 when BKP first previewed VERVE® Suites Mont’Kiara, it was difficult to explain the unique concept of the development. But today, people participate actively in social networking sites. VERVE® Suites Mont’Kiara is the real estate equivalent. It is a platform for people to connect face-to-face in many innovative ways,” shared NK.

The development has four innovative sky lounges on top of each tower block – Vertigo Sky Lounge, Hypercubes Sky Lounge, Gardens of Concentrico and Versilica Sky Beach. Whether it is chilling out in the first-of-its-kind Vertigo Sky Lounge, hosting private functions and entertaining guests at the Hypercubes Sky Lounge, immerse in lush ‘sky jungle’ at the Gardens of Concentrico or swimming out in the clear blue sky at Malaysia’s first Sky Beach, residents get the ‘home away from home’ feelings within their home compound.

The Versilica Sky Beach at VERVE® Suites Mont’Kiara, is the first and only sky lounge in Mont’Kiara and possibly Malaysia, to adopt a beach concept.

VERVE® Suites Mont’Kiara has also raised the bar and transformed the playing field for residential developments in Malaysia through the introduction of many first-of-its-kind features.

It has successfully brought in the sky lounge trend and demand for compact fully-furnished suites which was uncommon in Kuala Lumpur back then due to the challenges involved in constructing and furnishing the units. From RM600 per square foot in 2006, units in this project are now transacted as high as RM1,600 per square foot.

Expressing how he felt after receiving the prestigious award, NK said the intention of winning awards was the least in his mind when the company embarked on the project. “We did not start with the intention of winning an award. When we started this project ten years ago, we only have our customers in mind; to devise, innovate & provide the best features for them.”

“Winning this world class award is a nice validation of what we do for our customers. This award brings value to our customers, not just in terms of capital appreciation but the award also recognises the luxurious lifestyle they are residing in. It vindicates the extra efforts and cost that we put in; gaining investment and getting peace-of-mind for our customers,” added NK.

Other awards and achievements received by VERVE® Suites Mont’Kiara included the Malaysia Landscape Architecture Award 2013 – ‘Project of the Year’, and Micro Detail Design Award 2011 awarded by Malaysian Institute of Architects. The project’s second tower, Vibe, has also emerged as the highest quality for any high-rise residential project in Malaysia with a CONQUAS (Construction Quality Assessment System by Singapore) score of 82.2.

VERVE® Suites Mont'Kiara offers 933 fully-furnished designer suites with over 100,000 square feet of facilities at the sky lounges and pool podium level. The project was fully sold with the last tower handed over to homeowners in December 2013.

BKP has now extended its VERVE® brand to its latest project, VERVE® Suites KL South, which features the first-of-its-kind Vercadicos Sky Bridge and 321 fully-furnished designer suites at Old Klang Road.
