Sixty-six kids from five children’s homes were having a fun and memorable experience playing games and mingling at the middle of the sky, when Bukit Kiara Properties (BKP) hosted a Fun-Fair Carnival for them at the Vercadicos Sky Bridge, a facilities deck at level 14 of its latest project, VERVE® Suites KL South.

The carnival was organised under the ‘Caring Hands’ initiative by niche developer, BKP. It was a cheerful event with more than one hundred participants consisting of kids from House of Joy, Rumah Charis, Precious Children’s Home, Rumah Shalom and Praise Emmanuel Children's Home (PECH), and BKP team members.

The fun event started with an ice breaking activity to allow the kids to spend time with their “caretakers” as each BKP team member was in charge of taking care of two to three children during the event.

Other than the ice breaker session, there were five game stalls namely Ring Toss, Throw the Ball, Stack the Cups, Ping Pong Roll and Grab & Win for the kids to have fun and bring home attractive prizes. The children had a great time trying out their skills at the stalls.

“I am so happy to win and bring back all these prizes,” said Reetha, a 16-year old girl with plenty of prizes with her.

On top of that, the happiest moment for the kids was when ‘Jelly the Clown’ showed up at the Sky Bridge. All the kids were amazed by his hilarious performance and magic show.

Nine years old Chloe was thrilled and asked, “I love the clown so much, can I bring him home?”

The excitement did not stop, it hit the peak whentwo of the children’s homes - Rumah Charis and House of Joy performed dances for everyone. The Fun-Fair Carnival was later ended with a sumptuous buffet lunch and everyone went home with fond memories.

“This is the first time we have hosted a carnival for five homes. It is great to invite them to our Sky Bridge and to see them enjoying themselves with the games and the panoramic view of the city skyline, accompanied by our team members,” said BKP’s Group Managing Director, Datuk NK Tong.

“We have hosted Fun-Fair Carnival for our team members, homeowners and the neighbourhood in Mont’Kiara before, and all these events have received overwhelming response. The team brainstormed and thought it was good to extend this idea to children’s homes and bring laughter to more people,” NK added.

“It was such a beautiful event held by BKP and its team members. All the children from my home were very happy. Thanks for having us here in the Sky Bridge”, said Madam Koh, the person in charge for Rumah Charis.

Caring Hands programme has always been a passionate initiative by BKP as caring is one of the company’s core values. We believe in contributing back to the society as it is essential for the community to grow and benefit together,” NK said.
