Rumah Kanak-Kanak Angels (Angels Home) raised RM40,000 through a vibrant and fun charity bazaar at VERVE® Suites KL South last Sunday. The bazaar attracted thousands of generous participants who contributed for a good cause and celebrated the spirit of giving.
The Charity Bazaar & Fun Fair was an annual fund-raising event organised by Angels Home since year 2004. It featured over 40 stalls and offered a variety of items including food & beverage, groceries, home goods, beauty products, electrical items, books, crafts, and fun games.
Belinda Chew, the guardian of Angels Home, expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming response and support received for the charity bazaar.
“We thank all the sponsors and participants for their contribution. All proceeds from the charity bazaar will be used to fund the living expenses of our children for a few months.”
This year, niche developer, Bukit Kiara Properties (BKP) was the venue and logistics sponsor, and hosted the event at its project, VERVE® Suites KL South.
“We are glad to be part of this meaningful event! We hope this initiative brings joy to all the participants and will make it more comfortable for the children from Angels Home,” said BKP’s Managing Director, Datuk NK Tong at the charity bazaar.
The renowned 988 DJ, Chan Fong, was also seen taking part in the charity bazaar as a vendor, representing his company, 180 Degrees Brandcom Sdn Bhd.
“We have been joining this charity bazaar for the past five to six years. We usually feature various products sponsored by our clients, and we are happy to be part of the charity drive,” said Chan Fong, who had been busy promoting his stall and fulfilling photo requests of his fans.
The charity bazaar was livened up with performances by children from Angels Home and other volunteers. The clown show, sand art, and t-shirt painting also brought excitement to the kids.
In addition to the venue and logistic sponsorship, BKP also assisted Angels Home to market charity bazaar coupons and set up a stall to sell brand new items donated by its team members.
“This charity bazaar is part of BKP’s Caring Hands initiative. We are delighted for the opportunity to do our bit, and to reach out to the community,” NK added.
